Well I I haven't tried Inkscape, yet so I wouldnt know if anyother tool is better. but I been using "Paint tool Sai" they have this 30 days free trial, Im sure u can get a handle on it in 2 days or less is like simplefyde... I personally use it to do the Inking/Line work. :) check it out, theres a fast tutorial here fore it.

Now, I think you did a lot of unnecessary lines on the skirt. and the fingers on the left hands doesn't convince me. so work on that. But everthing else I love! :) give us more Lin! :)

Thanks! I'd give it a shot but I'm a Linux guy; so I have no "Güindous" to test on; waht I CAN do is to take your other advises; guess the shading business will push me in to research, It takes about a week to come up with one like this (may be a digital pen would make my day). Guess you are right about some of the lines, I use to draw by pencil on paper and I like to shade with lines rather than with blurring, (You know, that ol' manga style), so in this context they don't really seem to make sense.

The most Powerful main char of the FF series. why because she is an Esper!..lol U know what u summon when u need someone to save ur butt on an Epic boss fight... cough cough.
Ok back to business, Love the hair, I can see how you would interpret it this way, it works well with the over all design, it gides ur yes from the bottom to the top right (clever if done intetionally). the only prob i see is the color of the inside of her mought/tonge, is too bright, that might worked if she had stick out her tonge, but since it looks like its inside then it sticks out too much, so it doesnt feel like is part of the language that u had used for the rest of it... thats all keep it up :D

Thanks for the tips. I'll keep that in mind. I probably should have added a purple hue to the mouth to help blend it with the rest. I do plan on making more Terra drawings, so hopefully the next one will be better.

Im a fan of ur fan-art. so why the 6? well I think we should treat every line ofthe work with the same dedicatoin that way when u are done, u will feel satifide with all of it. and I see U put so much work on her face and nody down to her hands and globes... but us slacked off on the feet/boots. whats up with that? wasit cuz it was a quicky?
